## Description

UNICH, the Universidad Intercultural de Chiapas, is a higher education institution guided by the vision of a more equal and plural Chiapas. Its academic offer brings together intercultural, social, environmental, health, language, and tourism disciplines. Undergraduate programs include Agroecology, Intercultural Communication, Intercultural Law, Sustainable Development, Alternative Tourism, Medicine, and Language and Culture. At postgraduate level, the university offers master’s degrees in Social and Solidarity Economy and Intercultural Studies.

UNICH operates in San Cristóbal de las Casas and through multidisciplinary academic units in Oxchuc, Las Margaritas, Yajalón, and Valle de Tulijá. Its services support students throughout their studies, with information on admissions and enrollment, academic calendars, study plans, tutoring, scholarships, mobility, libraries, and professional degree requirements. The university also provides community engagement and social service opportunities, supports research and postgraduate coordination, and promotes language revitalization through its Center for Language Revitalization and Study. Radio UNICH, podcasts, events, publications, and cultural activities further connect the institution with its academic community and wider public.
