## Description

Unie pečujících z. s. is a Czech nonprofit organization and open community founded by caregivers to improve the quality of life of people who provide care. It supports families and individuals preparing for long-term care, currently caring for loved ones, or adjusting after care has ended. Its guidance is available before care begins, throughout the caring period—including terminal-stage care—and afterward, whether or not care ended because of a death.

The organization offers specialized and peer consultations on care-related issues, along with self-help and creative gatherings where caregivers can share experiences and support one another. Its work also includes advocacy for caregivers’ rights and social standing at local, regional, and national levels. Through lectures, workshops, discussions, and other educational activities, it serves both caregivers and social-service staff. Unie pečujících also shares information and organizes community activities, including practical seminars. Based in Brno, the organization works to make caregivers’ needs more visible and strengthen the support available to them.
