# Unitard Club

- **Website:** <https://unitard.io>
- **Primary alias:** `unitard.io`

## Description

Unitard Club is an online directory and tracking project dedicated to former unicorns: startups once valued at $1 billion or more that have since fallen below that threshold, been acquired, or shut down. It presents itself as “the club for former unicorns” and documents the companies’ changing fortunes through a searchable list of profiles and historical valuation data.

The site reports 444 former unicorns, with a combined peak value of $1.63 trillion and approximately $1.47 trillion in value lost. Visitors can browse companies by status, including dead or bankrupt, acquired, public below $1 billion, and markdown. Listings include details such as a company’s name, country, peak valuation, year it reached unicorn status, and when it joined the directory. The project also highlights recently added entries and provides a methodology section and an investor leaderboard. By bringing these records together, Unitard Club offers a data-focused way to explore the rise and decline of high-profile startups and the different outcomes that follow a unicorn valuation.
