## Description

United Tae Kwon Do is a traditional Korean martial arts school in East Hartford, Connecticut, serving communities across Central and Eastern Connecticut and Southern Massachusetts. Founded by Grandmaster Moo Yong Lee, the school has operated continuously since 1974 and continues his legacy under school leader Mr. Reiss, a second-generation Taekwondo Master who began training there in 1985. Its 3,200-square-foot facility offers Taekwondo instruction for adults and children aged five and older.

Classes integrate martial arts training with physical fitness, focus, flexibility, balance, self-defense, discipline, and confidence-building. Children’s and junior classes emphasize self-control, respect, and skill development in a supportive setting, while adult training supports physical fitness and mental sharpness. The school welcomes families and highlights a positive, community-oriented approach; its teaching style is also described as homeschool-friendly. Beyond regular classes, United Tae Kwon Do offers private lessons, corporate training, self-defense seminars, and programs for groups such as after-school programs, schools, scouting organizations, and community associations. The school presents Taekwondo as training for mind, body, and spirit.
