The program will initially focus on middle school students in 50 school districts across Minnesota, North Carolina, and Florida. This initiative is in response to alarming increases in anxiety, depression, and teen suicide rates among young people, as highlighted in the United Health Foundation's 2022 America’s Health Rankings Health of Women and Children Report. Through collaborations, grants, and outreach efforts, the United Health Foundation works to enhance the well-being of local communities and improve the health and health care system.
