United Way of South Hampton Roads

United Way of South Hampton Roads is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting health, education, and income opportunities for all of our neighbors. Our mission is to ensure that everyone in our community has the chance to thrive and succeed. We offer a wide range of programs and services to achieve this goal.

Our initiatives include United for Children, which takes a cradle-to-career approach to support children and provide them with the opportunities they need to succeed. We also have Mission United, which provides coordinated support for our veterans and military-connected families. Through our Community Investments program, we provide backbone support to our community's nonprofit network.

Additionally, our Aspire & Strive program offers coaching and support to help women change their lives and thrive. We also focus on increasing opportunities for Black students through STEM scholarships and reducing the racial and gender gaps in STEM fields. To support our work, we invite individuals and corporations to get involved and make a difference.
