# Universiteitsmuseum Utrecht - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `universiteitsmuseum.nl` ## Description UMU, the University Museum Utrecht, is a museum for curious people and families, offering an engaging introduction to science and research. Visitors can look behind the scenes of scientific inquiry and take on the role of researchers through hands-on activities and exhibits. The museum welcomes school groups, whose students can explore topics such as the heart and lungs and the behaviour of people and apes. UMU also offers events, news and activities that encourage visitors to investigate questions and discover new ideas. Its “Zoek het uit!” resources support further exploration at home or outdoors, while the newsletter shares museum updates and current events. Visitors can also explore the Oude Hortus, a peaceful historic garden in central Utrecht. This green oasis features distinctive plants and trees, including a 260-year-old Ginkgo biloba, and offers space to wander and enjoy the collection. UMU provides tickets for both the museum and the Oude Hortus, alongside information for planning a visit. Together, the museum and garden combine scientific discovery with opportunities to experience nature. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Libraries and Museums _(under Science and Education)_ - ✈️ Travel and Tourism - ✈️ Tourist Attractions _(under Travel and Tourism)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/umu.museumutrecht) - [linkedin](https://linkedin.com/company/universiteitsmuseum-utrecht) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/umu.museum) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG, SVG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idUYssjR2v/w/820/h/820/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790393890542) - icon _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idUYssjR2v/w/180/h/180/theme/dark/icon.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790393890726) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Fuchsia Blue | #7347bf | accent | | Caribbean Green | #00c980 | dark | | Emerald | #5bc686 | light | --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
