## Description

Untamed Legacy is a live outdoor performance celebrating the wild horses and history of Theodore Roosevelt’s Badlands. Presented at the Ranchorama Rodeo Grounds in Medora, North Dakota, the family-friendly show brings the spirit of the American West to life through liberty horse work, equestrian acts, theatrical scenes, music, and storytelling. Its performances feature former wild horses from Theodore Roosevelt National Park and highlight the connection between horses and people through synchronized movement, riding patterns, authentic costumes, and heartfelt narration. The production also introduces audiences to characters from the past, including Theodore Roosevelt, while blending history, humor, and Western grit.

In addition to the main performance, Untamed Legacy offers a limited-capacity Badlands Barnyard Backstage Pass. This after-show experience gives guests the opportunity to meet and pet horses and hear stories from performers. The show is scheduled to return to Medora on August 14 and 15, 2026. Through its cast of horse trainers, riders, narrators, and guest performers, Untamed Legacy offers an engaging celebration of horsemanship, regional history, and the enduring spirit of the Badlands.
