## Description

Unwinnable is a unique website and digital magazine that was founded in 2010 with the aim to provide a refreshing form of cultural criticism. We have gathered a diverse group of contributors, ranging from amateurs to veterans, who share their stories and perspectives on a wide array of topics. Our content covers everything from silly to serious, ensuring that we create a friendly and thoughtful platform for writing that breaks free from the constraints of traditional internet publishing. Remaining 100% independent, Unwinnable is solely dedicated to our valued readers and writers. Our name, Unwinnable, is inspired by the concept found in early adventure video games where making the wrong decision would lead to an unwinnable state. This mirrors our belief that life itself doesn't always have neat and tidy endings. Our logo, featuring a vulture, is based on a memorable unwinnable moment in the game King's Quest V, where choices involving a pie become pivotal for progress. Vultures symbolize how we dissect and analyze the culture we love. At Unwinnable, we explore all aspects of video games, comics, sci-fi, and pulp, aiming to provide engaging and critical coverage. We encourage you to support our endeavor by engaging with our content, investing in quality publications, and showing appreciation to those who contribute.
