## Description

UPAV, the Union Professionnelle des Agences de Voyage, is a professional association representing French-speaking travel agencies and tour operators in Wallonia and Brussels. Founded in 1937, it supports travel professionals and promotes the value of the travel agency profession while helping protect travellers through reliable, practical information.

The association represents the sector to public authorities, contributes to the development of regulations and defends members’ interests, including against unfair competition. It also offers members legal, tax and social support, sector updates, a weekly newsletter, practical documents such as sample contracts and general terms, and preferential conditions from partner suppliers and service providers. Members can connect through regular events and access professional training and personalized assistance.

UPAV organizes activities and events, including sector-focused training and gatherings, and shares public industry news alongside specialized information for members. It also provides guidance for people looking to start a travel business and resources for those seeking work in an agency.
