Located in a Red Zone area of Guatemala City, their presence offers a sanctuary for the women by providing camaraderie, employment, and security. UPAVIM crafts aims to address various challenges faced by the community of La Esperanza, including gang and domestic violence, illiteracy, unemployment, alcoholism, and malnutrition. By providing employment, health services, and educational opportunities, UPAVIM Crafts strives to turn the sentiment of hope into a reality for the community.
