## Description

Uplakers ry is a nonprofit ice sports club based in Ylöjärvi, Finland, established in spring 2009. A member of the Finnish Ice Hockey Association and the Finnish Figure Skating Association, the club provides coaching and instruction in ice hockey, figure skating and related supporting disciplines. Its programs welcome skaters and players of different abilities, from recreational participants to competitive athletes, and aim to support both physical and mental development through sport. Trained, motivated coaches and instructors, supported by coaching directors in both sections, deliver the club’s activities.

In ice hockey, players can progress from the U8 junior level to the club’s representative team. A cooperation agreement with Tampereen Tappara, alongside HC Nokia, Hämeenkyrön Hokkarit and Valkeakosken Kiekko-Ahma, supports opportunities to develop local ice hockey. Figure skating includes competitive, development and recreational groups, as well as synchronized skating teams for children and adults. Uplakers also offers skating and hockey schools for people of all ages, providing an accessible introduction to ice sports.
