## Description

Uplift Drug-Free Coalitions, formerly Brevard Prevention Coalition, is a nonprofit organization working with individuals, community groups, organizations, and local governments to prevent substance misuse and reduce addiction-related harm and overdoses. Its approach centers on education, prevention, healthy activities, and support, with a focus on helping young people and families recognize risks and make healthier choices early in life. Uplift also works to reduce stigma around substance use disorders and connect affected individuals and their loved ones with useful information and recovery resources.

The organization supports initiatives that encourage positive choices, empower youth, promote mental wellness, and strengthen overdose response. It collaborates with student and youth groups, local municipalities, and regional partners, and advocates for effective use of public funding and implementation of the local opioid abatement plan. Its website provides prevention information and links to recovery and support, food, housing, medical, and family assistance. Community members can contribute through donations, volunteering, internships, careers, events, and partnerships.
