## Description

Sällskapet Länkarna i Uppsala is an independent association supporting people affected by alcohol or other substance dependence. Its members draw on long personal experience of living with addiction and maintaining sobriety, and offer mutual support to help one another continue living alcohol-free. The association recognizes alcoholism as an illness and welcomes people who feel their drinking has become difficult to manage, as well as family members and others concerned about someone close to them.

The group provides a supportive community and encourages anyone seeking help to get in touch by phone or email. Its support is intended both for people looking for help to overcome dependence and for relatives who need guidance or companionship. Visitors can also learn about questions such as whether their drinking may indicate alcoholism, how to support a loved one, and the association’s seven principles. Sällskapet Länkarna shares updates about its activities on Facebook and welcomes people to connect with its community in Uppsala. The association is located on Flogstavägen in Uppsala.
