## Description

Upstate Church Planting is a church-planting ministry of the Hudson Baptist Association, serving communities across upstate New York. Based in a region near New York City, Boston, and Montreal, the ministry highlights the need for healthy, reproducing churches in a largely post-Christian area. It reports that only 2% of the region’s 1.4 million people identify as evangelical Christians and invites individuals and churches to help engage local communities with the gospel.

The ministry supports church planting through practical partnerships among church planters, existing upstate churches, and partner organizations. These collaborations operate within a covenant framework that emphasizes support and accountability for church plants. The site also offers information for people exploring church planting, including getting-started guidance, planting opportunities, regional details, recommended reading, and helpful links. Additional ways to participate include internships, mission trips, joining a church-planting team, and partnering with or giving to the ministry. Connected with the Hudson Baptist Association, Upstate Church Planting also shares church directories, information about current and future plants, and resources to strengthen local churches.
