## Description

Reddit is a leading social media platform specializing in user-generated content and community discussions. Founded in 2005, it has grown into a hub for diverse topics, leveraging its community-driven structure to enable users to share insights and engage in conversations. In 2020, Reddit introduced Community Points, an innovative Ethereum-based rewards system that allowed users to earn tokens called Moons and Bricks for their contributions. Unfortunately, this program was abruptly discontinued in late 2023 after gaining significant traction, including listings on major exchanges like Kraken and Crypto.com. With a peak of approximately 6.9 million members in related communities, the initiative demonstrated that internet points could hold real value. Following this closure, Reddit went public in 2024 with a remarkable IPO valuation of $6.4 billion. Despite the discontinuation of Community Points, the community took matters into its own hands, establishing independent governance and revitalizing the $MOON token, ensuring its legacy continues to thrive.
