URACCAN is the first intercultural community university in Latin America, founded in 1994 and declared in 2007 as a heritage of the indigenous peoples of the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua. Offering a wide range of academic programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and special program levels, URACCAN stands out for its commitment to interculturality and community-based education.
