About

Description

Urbio is an impact-driven software company that specializes in urban energy planning, with a mission to accelerate the decarbonization of buildings through better planning. Founded in January 2020 as a spinoff from the climate-tech university EPFL, Urbio is rapidly growing to tackle the global energy transition. The interdisciplinary team at Urbio comprises experts in energy modeling, data science, machine learning, and human-computer interaction.

They bring years of research and industry experience in renewable energy to develop innovative solutions. Urbio's software enables customers to make quick, data-driven and science-based decisions to decarbonize buildings in response to the urgent climate situation. The team behind Urbio consists of Nils, the hacker, and Sébastien, the hipster, who first teamed up in 2014 to explore sustainable city design.

They were later joined by Nicolas, the hustler, who brought a decade of experience in the utility and consulting sector. Together, they developed Urbio and attracted talented individuals, advisors, and investors who believe in their vision for sustainable, carbon-free cities. Urbio offers a range of products and services, including high-impact software, comprehensive and accurate data, user onboarding and support, intuitive spatial exploration tools, and quick scenario generation.

With a focus on customer success and market opportunities, Urbio is committed to helping clients transition to decarbonized energy systems worldwide. Join Urbio on their mission to create a sustainable future. Explore their open positions and become a part of their story
