## Description

The United Reformed Church History Society is a UK registered charity dedicated to researching and sharing the history of English-speaking Congregationalists, English Presbyterians and Churches of Christ. It is open to anyone interested in the denominations that came together to form the United Reformed Church and its related traditions. These unions took place in 1972, when the Presbyterian Church of England and the Congregational Church in England and Wales united; in 1981, when the Re-formed Association of Churches of Christ in Great Britain joined; and in 2000, when the Congregational Union of Scotland became part of the story.

The Society helps people explore this history through events, publications and research resources. Its offerings include a journal, book reviews, information on archives and local church history, and family history resources. Visitors can find details of upcoming and past events, learn about membership and access information about the Society’s traditions and work.
