## Description

Ursellis Historica e.V. is a medieval history association based in Oberursel, Germany, bringing together people of different ages who want to explore and share the past. The group promotes hands-on, approachable history, presenting the cultural and social diversity of the Middle Ages with an emphasis on credible interpretation, learning, and enjoyment. Its members choose their own historical focus, spanning the early, high, and late Middle Ages, with some also exploring Celtic antiquity.

Association activities include reenactment, historical fencing, archery, dancing, medieval cooking, and traditional crafts, alongside shared encampments and visits to events and markets. Members can use the association’s grounds and facilities, including a forge, a clay bread oven, an archery lane, a 3D course, and a clubhouse, subject to instruction where required. Ursellis Historica also presents history at schools and kindergartens.

The association organizes the Oberurseler Feyerey each year on the first weekend of August. This large Hessian medieval event features traders, craftspeople, food venues, performers, and historical encampments, welcoming visitors to experience past times.
