After operating under several names, including Allegheny Airlines and USAir, it adopted the US Airways brand in 1996. The carrier grew through acquisitions and served a broad network of destinations across the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe, and China. At the time of its merger, its fleet included more than 330 aircraft from Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer, and passengers could travel in First, Business, or Economy class. Its frequent-flyer program was called Dividend Miles. US Airways operated major hubs in Charlotte, Phoenix, Philadelphia, and Washington, and its services included domestic and international passenger flights.
