## Description

USA Ice Climbing (USAIC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting ice climbing in America and supporting U.S. athletes competing internationally. It helps people discover and enter the sport, while working to strengthen its future through broader access, youth pathways, and competitive development.

USAIC provides information for newcomers and experienced climbers alike, including introductions to ice climbing, mixed climbing, and drytooling. Its guidance on getting started highlights gym sessions, ice festivals, guided experiences, and clinics, while its gym directory helps people find facilities offering drytooling for year-round training. The organization also shares event information, competition results, and news, and introduces the athletes representing the United States in UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup competitions.

USAIC organizes national team trials, including the 2026 trials in Longmont, Colorado, and supports athletes pursuing international competition. Donations help fund gym access, youth programs, and elite athlete participation. The organization also invites partners to support its mission.
