## Description

The USL W League is a pre-professional women's soccer league set to kick off in May 2022. With a mission to increase opportunity, gender equity, and career development in women's soccer, the USL W League aims to be a national platform for the growth of the women's game. They are committed to providing over 750 new opportunities for women to play, coach, and work in soccer, and with teams located across the country, thousands of women's soccer fans will have greater access to the sport they love. The league also prioritizes gender equity, believing that women deserve the same opportunities as men in sport and in life. By investing in the W League, the USL is taking action to advance gender equity and support women's athletes. Additionally, the league emphasizes career development, providing athletes with tools and resources to help them transition to their post-playing careers. The USL W League aspires to create more for the women of today and tomorrow by elevating the women's game, empowering women to get in the game, and evolving the overall status of women in sport.
