## Description

The US MASINT Foundation is an organization dedicated to strengthening the long-term impact of Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT) in support of national security. It aims to build an inclusive, collaborative community of practitioners and promote innovative methodologies that respond to changing security needs. The Foundation works across government, industry, and academia to make MASINT more relevant, accessible, and effective.

Its activities include fostering professional connections and collaboration, supporting research, and sharing insights into emerging approaches. One example is its summer intern project with the Digital Transformation Center: a collaborative effort to develop a low-cost acoustic sensing platform for early mechanical health monitoring. The project established a semi-automated workflow for identifying mechanical degradation, monitoring system health, and distinguishing between similar mechanical systems, with potential to inform future predictive maintenance and machine-learning applications.

The Foundation also provides project materials and presentations, including downloadable reports and a presentation on acoustic analysis. It welcomes members, sponsors, and partners, and offers a point of contact for questions and inquiries.
