## Description

The United States Pirate Party (USPP), established in 2006, is a political organization dedicated to advancing individual liberties, governmental transparency, and the reform of intellectual property laws. Aligning with the global Pirate Movement, the USPP emphasizes the importance of protecting privacy and civil rights while advocating for policies based on evidence and egalitarianism. The Party opposes corporate personhood and prioritizes the needs of individuals over corporations.

The USPP oversees various state parties across the nation through the Pirate National Committee (PNC), which was created in 2012. Their meetings are open to the public, fostering community engagement and participation in political discourse. The current leadership team, elected in June 2023, comprises dedicated officials who facilitate communication and resource-sharing among state parties.

With robust online platforms, including Discord and social media channels, the USPP encourages members and interested individuals to engage and support their mission. From organizing events to fundraising, the party invites citizens to join the movement for a more equitable and transparent political landscape.
