The Union of Social Secretariats (USS) is dedicated to advocating for the collective interests of its members, the Recognized Social Secretariats. Since 1945, these recognized social secretariats have been assisting employers in fulfilling their social and tax obligations with the government. The USS serves as the voice of recognized social secretariats in Belgium, offering a range of services such as payroll calculation, filings, social legal advice, and HR services.

They strive for straightforward compliance with social regulations for employers, advocating for administrative simplification and legal certainty in implementing various government measures. By doing so, the recognized social secretariats contribute to the growth and development of Belgian businesses. With 2,896,612 private sector employees (74%) having their salaries calculated by a recognized social secretariat, and 206,642 employers (88%) working with one, the USS plays a crucial role in supporting the Belgian business landscape
