Project Overview - US Trans Survey is the largest survey dedicated to understanding the lives and experiences of transgender individuals in the United States. Conducted from October 19 to December 5, 2022, the survey was meticulously developed by a team of experts and community organizations with strong connections to the transgender community. The involvement of a Scientific Advisory Council and an Outreach Council ensured that the questionnaire was comprehensive and inclusive, capturing diverse experiences often overlooked in research. With over 600 tailored questions, the 2022 USTS explored various new topics, including COVID-19 experiences and gender-affirming care. The results, presented as weighted percentages, provide valuable insights into the challenges and successes of transgender individuals in areas such as health care, employment, and education.
