## Description

The Uganda Tourism Association (UTA) is the leading body that represents the private sector of Uganda’s tourism industry. Established in 2014, UTA brings together various stakeholders, including tour operators, hotels, travel agents, and guides, under one unifying voice. Its primary mission is to advocate for the interests of these stakeholders, promote sustainable tourism, and enhance the image of Uganda as a premier travel destination.

UTA engages in three core areas: advocacy and policy formulation to create a favorable business environment, industry capacity building through training and workshops, and destination promotion to elevate Uganda's tourism appeal on both local and international platforms. The association actively supports diverse tourism experiences, ranging from wildlife safaris and cultural heritage immersion to adventure tourism activities like white-water rafting.

By focusing on partnerships and strategic initiatives, UTA aims to ensure that Uganda’s natural beauty contributes to economic growth and community development, showcasing the country as the Pearl of Africa to the world.
