## Description

Accounting and Finance Orientation Week (AFOW) is an orientation program for students entering the School of Accounting and Finance (SAF) at the University of Waterloo. Designed to help new students begin their university experience, AFOW brings incoming students together with peers and upper-year students in a welcoming, supportive setting. Its activities encourage students to make connections, learn about the SAF community, and explore student-led organizations.

AFOW’s programming includes orientation events and ice-breaker activities, with opportunities to meet fellow first-years, connect with experienced students, and take part in a club crawl. These experiences are intended to help students build friendships, find communities that match their interests, and become more familiar with the undergraduate journey ahead.
