## Description

UWest is a unique and forward-thinking brand that offers a whole-person education, integrating Western liberal arts traditions with a global perspective and drawing from Buddhist wisdom. Our mission is to provide a well-rounded education in a context informed by Buddhist values and to facilitate cultural understanding between East and West. We believe in educating the whole person, highlighting where the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and creative converge. At UWest, we celebrate diversity and create an environment of compassion, encouraging our students to pursue equality and act in service to others. With over 44 countries represented in our student body, we are proud to say that UWest is the entire globe on 11 acres. Our programs include comparative religion, chaplaincy, business, psychology, English, and liberal arts. We believe in education as a conversation, with students and faculty learning with, from, and on behalf of one another. Become a UWest graduate, ready to meet the challenges of a complex and globally interdependent world with creativity and compassion.
