United Way Pioneer Valley

United Way of Pioneer Valley is a brand that dedicates itself to lifting communities out of poverty. For the past 100 years, they have been committed to finding solutions for the toughest challenges faced by the 25 communities in Hampden County, Granby, and South Hadley. With a focus on continuous improvement, United Way of Pioneer Valley has developed effective methods and programs to combat poverty.

Through their initiatives, they have achieved tangible results. In 2022, their efforts led to the distribution of 164,316 pounds of food to 10,357 people through their Springfield, Chicopee, and Holyoke Cupboards. They also provided financial coaching to 700 individuals, helping them pay down debt, build credit, and purchase homes.

United Way of Pioneer Valley offers a series of interactive classes on budgeting, credit, savings, banking, and identity theft, and their support groups meet monthly. Additionally, they organize various volunteer events and programs such as Stuff the Bus, Warming Hearts, and Call2Talk, which provide emotional support and suicide prevention services. Furthermore, they host events like Boo Bash and Hope for the Holidays, ensuring that families in need receive support during special occasions.
