## Description

Tiszavirág SE is a Hungarian club dedicated to underwater rugby (UWR), a distinctive three-dimensional team sport played in a deep swimming pool. Two teams of six players use fins, masks and snorkels to move a negatively buoyant, saltwater-filled ball along the pool floor and score in the opposing team’s submerged basket. Combining elements of swimming, water polo and physical contact, the sport challenges players’ endurance, strength, coordination and underwater confidence.

The club welcomes people interested in discovering or developing their skills in UWR, and invites newcomers to attend training and experience the game. Sessions take place on Mondays and Fridays at the Hajós swimming pool and on Wednesdays at the Duna Aréna. Members can also travel together to competitions, including international events, and join a friendly local and international sporting community. Tiszavirág is described as a historic Hungarian UWR team with an established presence in the sport. Its website introduces the rules and equipment, shares players’ experiences and achievements, and provides information for prospective members and supporters.
