## Description

The Victorian Amateur Boxing League (VABL) supports and develops amateur boxing across Victoria, Australia. Its mission is to help boxers progress from their first local bouts toward higher levels of competition, building a connected community of athletes, trainers, officials, gyms and volunteers. VABL sanctions tournaments and hosts more than 70 events annually, alongside monthly state training that gives boxers access to experienced coaches and opportunities to develop their skills. The league also outlines a progression pathway from novice and open competitions to ANABA national events and IBA-sanctioned international competition.

VABL provides registration for competitors, trainers and officials through BoxSafe, which also manages event listings and registrations. The organisation shares competition news, results, a calendar, gym listings and guidance on fitness documentation and trainer compliance. Its community includes affiliated leagues and gyms throughout Victoria, while partnerships with BoxSafe, ANABA, IBA and Masters Boxing Victoria help support safety, standards and participation. VABL also offers branded boxing uniforms through the official BoxSafe shop, connecting members with practical gear as well as opportunities to train, compete and contribute to the sport.
