Vadonlesők Közössége Természetvédelmi Egyesület is a Hungarian nature conservation association whose name means “Wildlife Watchers Community.” Its broad focus is reflected in the tagline “Everything about mammals. And what isn’t,” and its work brings attention to wildlife and the natural world through public information and participation. The association shares news about conservation topics, including the Pannon region’s ground squirrels and the Hungarian birch mouse, named Mammal of the Year in 2025. It also runs the “Wildflower of the Year” initiative, inviting people to vote for the flower to be featured in 2026. Visitors to its website can find downloadable materials, links to other organizations working on related subjects, and information about the association’s results and activities. News and announcements also cover events, projects, and opportunities to take part, such as a ground squirrel survey conducted in collaboration with others.
