## Description

Val de Morteau Basket (VDMB) is a community basketball club serving Villers-le-Lac, Morteau and the wider Haut-Doubs and Pays Horloger region of France. Founded in 1991 and independent since 2014, the club brings together more than 200 members around a shared love of basketball and values of respect, solidarity, teamwork and enjoyment.

Open to players from age four through adulthood, VDMB welcomes beginners, competitive players and those who prefer recreational play. Its girls’, boys’ and mixed teams cover youth and senior age groups, with more than 25 weekly practice sessions held across the two villages. The club provides team training, registration and opportunities to follow fixtures, results, news and events. New players can try the club with two free sessions before deciding to join.

VDMB also runs a basketball refereeing school, where young people learn the rules and develop confidence and responsibility. Supported by volunteer committee members, the club organizes community activities and offers club merchandise through its online shop. Its practices take place at gymnasiums in Villers-le-Lac and Morteau.
