## Description

Valerie Ellis is a children’s book author, speaker, teacher, and mother who helps families connect faith, fun, and compassion in everyday life. Based in Houston, Texas, she creates resources and experiences that encourage parents, educators, and children’s ministry leaders to nurture authentic faith and closer family relationships. Her children’s books, published by Tyndale and Paraclete Press, with a forthcoming title from WaterBrook/Penguin Random House, are designed to bring faith and enjoyment together. Valerie also offers speaking engagements and author visits, sharing practical ideas, humor, and grace-filled encouragement with families, schools, churches, and podcast audiences. Her talks address topics including faith formation, meaningful conversations, and using children’s books to support discipleship. Through Our Everyday Parables, where she is a founder and regular contributor, Valerie shares articles, activity ideas, book recommendations, and free resources for bringing faith into daily routines. She also reviews children’s books on the blog and Instagram, and offers a newsletter featuring recommendations for children from infancy through age 12.
