## Description

Valerie Nies is a writer and comedian who offers online comedy education and creative support. Her work focuses on helping people develop humor, write jokes, and build confidence in performing. Through one-on-one comedy coaching, participants can work on joke writing and punch up existing jokes. Her online comedy writing workshops guide students through creating a first five-minute standup set, including writing a set from scratch and practicing storytelling. The learning experience is described as supportive, with an emphasis on helping participants conquer comedy-related fears and encouraging women in comedy. Valerie’s offerings also include humor writing and jingle-writing, extending her creative work beyond standup. Whether someone is exploring comedy for the first time or looking to strengthen material they have already written, her coaching and workshops provide ways to practice comedic writing and develop performance material. Valerie describes herself as a “gluten enthusiast” alongside her work as a writer and comedian. Her site brings together information about her creative work, biography, and workshops.
