## Description

Validus is a Singapore-headquartered financial technology group founded in 2015 to address the financing needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The company owns and operates SME supply chain financing businesses across Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, where it works to widen access to business funding and support financial inclusion. Validus describes itself as one of Southeast Asia’s largest SME lending platforms and reports more than US$5 billion in total funding across its markets.

Its offerings include digital lending and flexible financing solutions for SMEs, with invoice financing and trade finance among the services highlighted. Through its regional platforms and partnerships, Validus also helps businesses and their supply-chain partners access funding to manage cash flow and support growth. The group has expanded through market launches, financing partnerships and acquisitions, including a small-business banking loan portfolio in Singapore. Its Indonesian business, Batumbu, and Thai operation, Siam Validus, serve local businesses and dealers.
