## Description

Valley CAPS is a community organization that provides day programs and support for adults with developmental disabilities, helping participants build skills and make independent choices for life. The organization reports 49 years of service and operates programs in Manteca and Modesto, including the Adult Behavior Learning Environment (ABLE), Valley CAPS PLUS, and Manteca Senior CAPS.

Its activities include instructor-led training, opportunities for participants to engage with their communities, and support for learning and well-being. For example, ABLE participants visited with the Manteca Fire Department to become more comfortable with first responders and learn that they are there to help. Valley CAPS has also supported access to vaccination information through staff volunteering at a local clinic and a live online question-and-answer training. Participants have received Samsung tablets to join daily remote service trainings, including low-impact exercise and chair-based workouts they can do at home.

The organization also provides information about its programs, news, photos, and ways to donate or offer support. Its listed locations serve Manteca and Modesto, California.
