## Description

Valley of the Flowers Project is a Montana-based sustainability initiative sponsored by the 501(c)(3) Community Outdoor Recreation Association. Its mission is to help create net-zero, sustainable, healthy and vibrant places through programs that educate and empower people to care for the natural world. The project partners with 1,000 New Gardens and Transition Town Bozeman, and works with local organizations to reduce waste and strengthen community action.

Its initiatives include BYO Bag for Change, BYO Mug for Change and Boomerang Bags, which encourage reusable alternatives and support sustainability efforts. The organization also shares local resources, including information about secondhand stores and recycling centers, and offers educational materials on plastic pollution. Community projects extend to events such as the annual apple harvest, which distributes fruit among tree owners, volunteers, local nonprofits and the Food Bank, while contributing apples to Lockhorn Cider’s Community Blend.

Valley of the Flowers Project invites people to volunteer or donate time, funds and materials.
