## Description

Valorfrit is a Belgian organisation that supports the collection, recycling and recovery of used cooking oils and fats from households and businesses. It helps coordinate a network of convenient collection points, including recycling centres, participating supermarkets and other public locations, so people can dispose of used frying oil responsibly.

For households, returning oil is free and straightforward. Valorfrit advises letting the oil cool, pouring it into its original container or another clean plastic bottle, closing it securely and taking it to a suitable collection point. Used oil should never be poured down a sink or toilet, as it can pollute the environment and damage pipes.

After collection, the oils and fats are recycled into useful raw materials, including biofuels such as biodiesel, which can partly replace conventional diesel. Through practical guidance and accessible drop-off options, Valorfrit encourages better waste management and helps give used cooking oil a second life. Its website provides information about how to recycle, where to find collection points and answers to common questions for both private individuals and professional users.
