## Description

Shannon McCabe’s Vampire Ball is a long-running themed event in Sacramento, hosted by Shannon McCabe. Celebrating 17 years, the ball invites guests to enjoy an immersive evening inspired by vampires, pirates, and gothic pageantry. The event features live bands, burlesque performances, and DJ Bryan Hawk, with programming arranged across the downstairs and upstairs areas of Harlow’s. Guests can purchase tickets through Eventbrite and are encouraged to dress for the occasion in vampire or pirate attire, gothic formalwear, corsets, gowns, tuxedos, Victorian or baroque styles, and masquerade accessories. Streetwear, casual clothing, logos, and tennis shoes are generally discouraged, with an exception for medical needs. The ball also shares themed costume ideas and points visitors to an Amazon store for seasonal inspiration. Its stated aim is to create memorable vampire events, while its code of conduct prohibits biting, harassment, and unwanted touching. The venue is a historic downtown Sacramento building without an elevator; some activities are upstairs, accessible by a staircase from the back patio.
