## Description

Vandsportens Hus is an association founded in 2020 to unite water-sports clubs around Sæby Harbour and create a shared home for their activities. Its six member organisations are Sæby Rowing and Kayaking Club, Sæby Sailing Club, SUP Sæby, De Blå Næser Sæby Winter Swimmers, Sæby Rescue and Salvage Association, and Sæby Sports Fishing Club. Together, they represent more than 500 members across age groups.

The association’s main purpose is to establish a multifunctional house on the harbour, providing modern club facilities and greater capacity for the clubs’ growing membership and activities. The planned venue is also intended to welcome local residents, harbour users and visitors, with publicly accessible areas and opportunities to take part in water-based activities and community life. Facilities may also serve local schools. Frederikshavn Municipality has provided a 900-square-metre site and works closely with the association. Its board includes representatives from the member clubs and Sæby Business Association. Vandsportens Hus promotes shared access to water sports and a stronger community hub for Sæby.
