## Description

The brand being described is a web edition of Vincent van Gogh's letters. This edition aims to provide a comprehensive collection of all the surviving letters written and received by Vincent van Gogh. The project began in 1994 and involved extensive research, including the consultation of original manuscripts and secondary literature. The edition includes a new reading text, annotations, translations, and introductory chapters. Originally planned as a book publication, it was later decided to publish the edition digitally to better accommodate the vast amount of material and provide users with more options and ways to use the edition. However, for those who prefer a more traditional reading experience, a fully illustrated print version is also available. This six-volume edition is available in English, Dutch, and French. Although intended for Van Gogh specialists and scholars, the web edition is accessible and informative for anyone interested in studying or enjoying Van Gogh's letters.
