## Description

Vasa Concept is an international association focused on neurological rehabilitation, professional education, research, and intensive training. Its approach is presented as a way to expand the boundaries of the centre of mass, with work addressing conditions including cerebral palsy, stroke, traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular disorders, and spinal cord injury.

The association provides continuing professional education in Vasa Concept rehabilitation, primarily for physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Courses are also open to other social and healthcare professionals, and training can be tailored to specific care settings. Patients and their families are welcome to learn about the approach as well. Vasa Concept organizes intensive rehabilitation camps for people with neurological conditions, with family members and personal assistants encouraged to participate.

Research is another central area of activity. The association supports collaboration in Finland, the Nordic countries, and internationally, including work on rehabilitation effectiveness and theoretical foundations. Its research interests include centre-of-mass function after stroke, proprioception, weight-bearing exercises, fall prevention, shoulder pain, and spasticity.
