Etäbox is a Finnish-designed and assembled remote-control device for managing and monitoring equipment in cars, motorhomes, cabins, boats and work vehicles. Used with the Kaukkari app, it lets customers control connected devices from an Android or iOS phone, or a computer, wherever they are. Typical uses include starting and scheduling heaters, managing ventilation or air conditioning, and monitoring temperatures and battery voltage. The system can control up to four devices and read data from up to three batteries and two temperature sensors. Users can set temperature-based controls, schedules and alerts, review measurement histories, and configure safeguards such as low-voltage cut-off to help protect batteries. The Etäbox GPS model adds real-time location tracking on a map. Etäbox also supports Victron SmartShunt through the VE.Direct protocol, enabling battery-status monitoring in the app. Customers use their own SIM card, with no separate monthly app or cloud-service fees. The device is designed for straightforward self-installation, with instructions provided, and the company offers support in Finnish.
