## Description

Vazer Fasnacht is a community carnival in Untervaz, Switzerland, organized by a local committee and welcoming carnival-goers from near and far. Its guiding spirit is captured in the phrase “a great achievement for a small village with a big carnival.” The event has grown into what its organizers describe as the most popular carnival between Chur and Sargans, and they aim to keep that lively tradition going. Vazer Fasnacht brings the village together for colorful festivities and invites visitors to enjoy the communal atmosphere.

The website shares information about two key occasions: Schmutziger Donnerstag, also known as SchmuDo, and the Saturday carnival procession. Visitors can also browse procession photos and the Zainablatt, and find information about supporting the event. The listed dates for Vazer Fasnacht in 2027 are February 4 and February 6; the 2028 dates are February 24 and February 26. The organizing committee includes Aaron Scheucher, Nadja Bürkli, Alexandra Wolf, André Hug, and Reto Joos. The committee can be contacted by email at vazerfasnacht@gmail.com.
