## Description

Vcare is a volunteer initiative of Dear Life gUG that helps Vietnamese older adults, people needing care, and their families navigate Germany’s care and support systems. Created in response to challenges its founders experienced in their own families and community work, Vcare provides culturally sensitive, accessible orientation in German and Vietnamese. Its free, nationwide online introductory care conversations give families time to discuss concerns, understand their situation, and identify possible next steps and relevant professional services. These conversations are an orientation service, not a substitute for professional care, legal, or medical advice.

Vcare also shares practical information through a podcast covering care, ageing, and life in Germany, and runs community workshops online and in Munich. Topics include care benefits, care grades, pensions, and emergency preparedness. A free bilingual emergency folder helps people organize essential health, personal, and contact information. Through its work, Vcare aims to make existing care, health, and social services easier to access while supporting informed, self-directed decisions.
