## Description

VDC Tončke Hočevar is a Slovenian social care and work centre in Ljubljana, among the country’s pioneers in supporting adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. With a long-standing tradition, the centre aims to provide a safe, respectful environment that encourages personal development, social participation and greater independence.

Its services include care, guidance and employment under special conditions, with work opportunities adapted to users’ abilities. Activities include cooperative work, in-house production and supported employment placements. The centre also provides institutional care, combining accommodation and social support with healthcare services. Its multidisciplinary team offers nursing, physiotherapy and occupational therapy around the clock, throughout the year. Through social inclusion services, users receive support to participate in community life and pursue equal opportunities.

VDC Tončke Hočevar works with local businesses, organisations, educational institutions and volunteers. It offers students practical experience and has collaborated with volunteers since 1968, enriching users’ everyday lives through companionship and varied activities.
