## Description

Verein Deutsch-Drahthaar Group North America (VDD-GNA) is a premier organization dedicated to the development, breeding, and improvement of the versatile hunting dog known as the Drahthaar. Founded in August 1971 by a passionate group of sportsmen and women, VDD-GNA has grown to over 10,000 members across thirty-four groups in the U.S. VDD-GNA is committed to upholding stringent breeding regulations and conducts a comprehensive testing program to ensure optimal performance standards. This includes various evaluations, such as the Spring Natural Ability Tests (VJP), Fall Breed Tests (HZP), and Coat and Conformation evaluations, all designed to assess inherited abilities rather than compete for superiority among dogs. Members benefit from a wealth of resources, including a breeder directory, access to litters and puppies for sale, and participation in specialized training and testing events. VDD-GNA is dedicated to promoting the Drahthaar’s legacy as an exceptional hunting companion, ensuring that the breed continues to thrive and evolve.
